Jersey Marathon Bible Reading

During the Jersey Island Games in June last year, Cathy Sara organised a twelve-hour Spoken Word Marathon in her Church Café.

Throughout the day, hundreds of people including, Centre users, Café users and supporters came to listen, some for 5 minutes, others for 5 hours or more! Everyone enjoyed coffee and cakes whilst Cathy read the New Testament for 12 hours and one listener shared their thoughts:

‘As I listened to her read… I felt as if I was hearing it for the first time, as if the letters had been written for me to unfold… I felt inspired and moved and convicted and excited’.

Talitha’s promotional film was shown every half hour to remind those listening why we were gathered – transforming lives through the creative arts!
