“The Pain of Shame” talk by Talitha Trustee, Kay Lawrence

Following our Talitha Open Day in May, we are pleased to announce our first Zoom “Talitha Talk” event on the 29th of June at 2pm. Talitha Trustee, Kay Lawrence, will be giving a talk on “The Pain of Shame.” Shame is an insidious and powerful feeling that distorts our sense of self and leaves us believing we are defective. Kay will be speaking about:

  • healthy shame v. toxic shame

  • the manifestations of shame

  • how to change the script

Kay Lawrence is a highly experienced counsellor and clinical supervisor, working with clients both one on one and in groups. Her special interests are addiction, adults survivors of childhood abuse, self-esteem, core shame, and ‘inner child’ therapeutic work.

Please register by the 24th of June if you would like to participate via Zoom.
