Easter is a time of reflection and renewal for Christians and others all over the world.
It is also a time of encouragement in the Christian calendar, not least because it celebrates Jesus’ resurrection on the third day. Christians all over the world will reflect on the suffering that He had to endure on Good Friday, but they will also rejoice at his wonderful resurrection on Easter Sunday.
For us here at Talitha Arts, we are in the resurrection business. Everyone we work with has suffered pain and loss in their lives. Talitha Arts helps people to deal with that pain and loss, and celebrate restoration and recovery.
The people we work with are those who have found themselves, often through no fault of their own, in places of great challenge in their lives. Talitha Arts’ trained practitioners facilitate regular sessions, often in hostels or ‘safe’ houses, to help them along the way to recovery and eventual wholeness.
Whether you celebrate Easter or not, we want to thank all of you who support our restoration work with survivors of domestic abuse, trafficked women, refugees, and those living with dementia. Easter is a time to give thanks; to remind each other that we are all in the recovery game, you as you support us and our practitioners, as they carry out the work they are called to.
Thank you for standing with us.
Happy Easter,
with love from the Talitha Team x
