How do we help refugees?

You might know about our work with those living with dementia, but we also run therapeutic arts workshops for young refugees and migrants.

We work with our partners Young Roots to support these highly vulnerable people who have fled their countries and are often alone in the UK without family support networks.

Some of the feedback from participants has shown us the impact of our therapeutic arts workshops :

“I’m going through a hard time right now and it makes me feel happy and forget what I was going through.”- Young Roots participant

“I enjoyed all sessions in young roots many times and I’m really happy to do that and it’s great to know some new activities”- Young Roots participant

I have really bad skill in English but I learnt from communication from the group

I feel really fresh, really good. You can see by smile on my face you can tell.

I find the activity(s) today very helpful and fun. This is something that I’ve never done before and it’s like, something that I want to do reoccurring. It was fun and you meet new people. I’m going through a hard time right now and it makes me feel happy and forget what I was going through. I think it’s a fun space and it didn’t completely make me forget what I’m going through but it makes me feel like you know very fun and it’s something I would like to do again. Thank you guys for coming!

I feel happy!!

I enjoyed all sessions in young roots many times and I’m really happy to do that and it’s great to know some new activities. hope we will do some different activities again.
